Brett Murphey, trumpet, is originally from Des Moines, Iowa and earned his B.M and M.M in Studio Music and Jazz/Jazz Pedagogy at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL. Prior to moving to Milwaukee, he was a professional trumpet player in Miami for 15 years. He has toured with Frank Sinatra, KC & the Sunshine Band, Melissa Manchester, Bob James and Mannheim Steamroller as well as recorded with The Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick and Julio Iglesias among others.

He is currently a freelance trumpet player in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas and has played for numerous national Broadway touring productions, name entertainers, festivals, orchestral groups and quintets over the past 17 years.
